We were a party of disparate and desperate of 8 for lunch. No one would make a decision so we walked into this place. We were able to get a table in a bit of a breeze and have a view of Darling Harbour. We all went for the lunch deal of $15 for baguette or hamburger with wine, beer or soft drink. All was good but I think if we had arrived a little later our meals would have been very delayed. Watching another group arrive then wait for over 30 mins for their drinks, I think we might have been a little lucky. People at the other tables were trying to catch the eye of the waitresses.
We ordered coffee which did take some time but as we had not seen each other for years there was plenty to talk about and I don't think we really noticed how long things were taking.
I don't think the same waitress served us twice.
Sitting and chatting suited us today. We were there from 1pm until after 4pm. I don't think this is the place you go for a quick lunch.
Food was good and so was the coffee. -

I write this review with mixed feelings. The food was a fabulous deal! We got to choose a starter or dessert to accompany our entree for a set price. I went with arancini balls and Risotto Funghi. I was thrilled to find vegetarian and gluten free options. The food was good, but the service was nonexistent. The appetizers took a long time to come, we had to ask for water refills multiple times, and it was impossible to find a server when we needed our check. Sadly, we were surrounded by guests who felt the same way. I had read the reviews before we attended, and saw the comments about slow service, but was hoping we would have a different experience. I would go back for the food, but would maybe try sitting at the bar in hopes for better service.

Went to eat lunch with my husband and when he walked away to go park the car, I didn't know I had to guard the food from seagals. They were real pest and literally stole my hubbies food from the table. The staff witnessed this and just scolded me for not watching out for the seagals. I explained to them that I'm from Cali. I have ate in many Harbours before and something like this has never happened before. Anyhow the manager expected us to pay for a plate that was eaten by pest. It's like going to the states and you find a roach in the food, disgusting... and the manager says you didn't watch for the roaches... Anyhow the manager says something that bothered me, he threaten to call security if I didn't pay for the pest and said all you American's are the same. If your American please stay away they don't need our business nor want it.

Pretty decent and reasonably priced food, but that is quickly negated by the almost complete lack of service. They don't even stop by to ask how the food is it whether you need anything else. Slow, too, even with an empty restaurant.
You ask them for a check, they start arguing with you, you ask for a manager, they yell at you, literally.
Save a few nervous cells, there are lots of other good options right next door. -

Made our reservations months in advance but they could not find it. Food and service was mediocre at best, had two vegans in our group and the kitchen didn't have a clue.
I don't think we would return if we made the trip down under again
